Neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) are multifaceted conditions characterized by impairments in cognition, communication, behavior and/or motor skills resulting from abnormal brain development. A lag in the development of these skills can already be observed during childhood.
They cause many problems in certain areas of life, especially in the areas of language, mobility, learning, self-help and independent living.
On this website we mainly talk about ADHD and autism. Examples of other NDDs are described in the adjacent table.
